What Still Has to Happen

1. BEE issues CCCs into over-achievers' Grid-India registry accounts. You can't sell before issuance.

2. BEE proposes, CERC approves a floor and a forbearance (ceiling) price. Under PAT, the floor became the price.

3. IEX, PXIL or HPX open a session; CERC's rules provide for monthly sessions.

4. Shortfall entities buy, then file Form D after the last session of the cycle.

Carbon Credit Price in India: What Will the First Trade Clear At?

![Carbon credit price expectations in India: wider estimate 250 to 1,500 rupees, analyst opening range 400 to 900 rupees, and a 1,740 rupee voluntary pilot that is not a compliance reference](https://internationalcarbontrade.com/api/v1/blogs/media/8c977c12-2598-4e7b-951e-f90e119529f9)

Analysts expect an opening range of ₹400–900 per tonne, inside a wider ₹250–1,500 band. A ₹1,740 figure from an early voluntary pilot is not a compliance reference. Whatever clears sets the 2× environmental compensation for anyone who misses, and decides whether it's cheaper to abate or buy. Compare the EU's €82.32 CBAM price.

ICT keeps you ready for day one: registry and IEX/PXIL/HPX onboarding, a bid ledger across exchanges, and a buy, sell or bank plan for your CCCs.
